13| The IFP -H alton H ills | T hursday,July 12,2018 theifp.ca Two carpenters and a builder working at a Georgetown development were transported to hospi- tal last week, after the sec- ond-storey deck they were standing on collapsed. According to the Minis- try of Labour, an inspector was called to the location on Foxtail Court (near Eighth Line and 15 Side Road) on June 27 where three workers were in- jured. A recommendation was made to the builder, Double Oak Homes, not to disturb the scene and the ministry says this request was complied with. Peter Dyck, owner of Einbau Ltd., the millwork installation company on site at the time, said two of his workers were injured in the collapse - one report- edly suffering a broken leg and the other with possible fractures. Dyck says he was not on site at the time of the incident. Double Oak Homes president Kieran Keaveney was the third individual in- jured in the incident, ac- cording to an employee from the builder's office. The employee told the In- dependent that Keaveney is not yet back at work as a result of his injuries. The investigation is still ongoing through the Min- istry of Labour. Sgt. Dana Nicholas of Halton Regional Police Ser- vice says police presence was not requested at the scene and officers have not been involved in investigat- ing this incident.
