The centre plans on purchasing two new Maxi Move mobility lifts, as well as six slings for the machines. These pieces of equipment allow resi- dents to be elevated and to travel around the centre safely, while also putting less physical stress on staff members. To raise funds, the Bennett Centre has been reaching out to Halton Hills residents and selling raffle tickets. Ticket pur- chasers had the chance to win twelve prizes donated by local organizations and businesses. On July 31, the Give our Residents a Lift draw was held and the twelve prize winners were an- nounced. 1. Women's Schwinn Comfort Bicycle (Evelyn McCallum). 2. One night stay at the Crowne Plaza Toronto with free parking and breakfast for two (Donna Cook). 3. Georgetown Little Theatre tickets for two to Hamish (Norma Frost). 4.
