While he was working about, Alvin escaped through the garage. When my husband real- ized, he and a small search party made up of neigh- bours frantically set out to find our eight-pound Mal- tese-Yorkshire terrier mix. It turns out a McKab Taxi driver and passenger found Alvin. They initially mistook him for a cat, but when they realized he was a little dog, they picked up our little adventurer. In an effort to find where he lived, they stopped at the house across the street. Our neighbour immedi- ately recognized Alvin and told the driver where he lived. The driver came to our house, but nobody was home, as my husband was still out searching for Al- vin. When our neighbour tracked him down, he told my husband Dave that "King Alvin" was alive and that a McKab driver had him. A few minutes later, the cab wound its way up our driveway, bringing Alvin home. We are very grateful to the McKab driver and to our neighbours, who helped return "King Alvin" home safely.
