But every day of her 32- year career, she would wake up and drive out of the town to Peel Region, where she worked as an educator, then as a principal, with the Peel District School Board. Now, to be able to serve her own community in Hal- ton Hills has been both re- freshing and rewarding, she says. Gray was elected as the trustee for Halton Hills in 2014, following her decades- long career in education. She retired in June of that year, but says she knew she was not quite done working yet.
