5| The IFP -H alton H ills | T hursday,S eptem ber 20,2018 theifp.ca Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts. Late September will likely see one stretch of the hot and humid conditions southern Ontari- ans have experienced over the past few weeks. But then it'll be time to take those sweaters out of storage. That according to Oakville-based The Weath- er Network, which officially released its au- tumn outlook Monday. "October will feel a lot more like fall. It'll be a bit of a shock to the system (after warm end to September)," said meteorologist Brad Rous- seau. Along with temperatures slightly below the season average - which may initially feel colder after a largely muggy end to summer - October could be a bit more active than usual on the storm front. By contrast, November should be quiet mild - with warmer and drier conditions than normal. Said Rousseau, "It's looking to be a very pleasant month." With a muggy wrap-up to summer and start to fall, southern Ontario residents will have to wait a little longer than usual for the leaves to change colour. While still too early to offer specifics, Rous- seau said initial indications are that southern Ontario will experience a pretty "typical" Cana- dian winter when it comes to snow and tempera- tures.
