December 19 9:30 a.m. Regional Council Georgetown's Christ the King Catholic Secondary School has donated $15,000 to Cancer Assistance Ser- vices of Halton Hills (CAShh), following its an- nual Pink Day. The event, held to pro- mote breast cancer aware- ness, is headed by the school's Grade 12 Sports Leadership class each year. Students from all grades are invited to purchase a shirt to support Pink Day, then participate in a pep rally - with all proceeds do- nated to a charity of the school's choosing. This year, the high school chose CAShh as the recipient of the funds, and on Nov. 22, a cheque was presented by the Sports Leadership class to CAShh's fundraising and campaign co-ordinator Julie Liddle.
