The intimate, Italian-style eat- ery serves a variety of pizza and pasta options, and a wide selec- tion of meat and fish mains. Al- though mostly traditional, the menu also offers a few unpredict- able options for diners, including the addition of an escargot appe- tizer. For visitors with dietary re- strictions, owner Liana Reinhardt says, The Bridgewood has several alternatives and will make substi- tutions to ensure visitors can still enjoy the dishes of their choosing. "We can cater to everyone: veg- etarian, vegan, gluten-free, those who are lactose-intolerant. For people with any allergies or re- strictions, we can substitute any- thing on the menu. Any sauces you want changed, we can do that for any pastas and the pizzas, as well," she says. Also new this year is a re- vamped lunch menu, which in- cludes smaller portions at more economical prices, as well as the option for customers to order in advance. "We've relaunched our new menus, and we're just making it more feasible for people to come in and have a lunch and be able to order something and be able to go back to the office," Reinhardt says. Other additions to The Bridge- wood include brunch on Satur- days from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and prime rib on Fridays and Satur- days. "We also do fresh, in-house- made desserts and daily specials every day," she says. Reinhardt says her family has a long history in the food industry, owning restaurants in both To- ronto and Scotland. She says that, for her, The Bridgewood is a new and exciting opportunity. "It's a new venture for me, and I wanted to try something differ- ent," she says. "Everyone has their own role here." The Bridgewood is hosting its grand reopening celebration until Jan. 12, offering visitors half-price appetizers, free coffee and des- serts, and samples of menu items. Four draws will be held on Jan. 12 for a chance to win a $100 gift card to the restaurant. For further information about The Bridgewood, or to view the new menus, visit www.thebridge- wood.ca.
