I liked the quotes from Cynthia Lind- say, the public health nurse from Halton Region; she really examined many of the old arguments that I have had with indi- viduals over the course of my lifetime re- garding cannabis use: "But it's natural," and "Adults do it, so why not kids?" And she's provided readers with some solid perspectives and responses to those questions. I am looking forward to the other arti- cles in the series. For the record, I am not against can- nabis for individuals over 25 and the chronically ill. However, I am against it for anyone under 25 because of the rea- sons stated in your article: the develop- ing brain. Great research and awesome delivery of this material on a sensitive topic. Thank you again. It was informative and will help us parents navigate this complex topic. GAIL POWELL OPINION boulevard, I know, they look bad, but when people call and they are practical- ly in tears because they are getting these $30 tickets over and over again, I have no answer for them," Fogal added. "I think this is great that we are going to pause and have a look at this." Bonnette says he has re- ceived emails from some residents who have not yet received a ticket, but wor- ry that they are next. "It is an issue," he said. "And we have a motion in front of us." He added he is also con- cerned with recent in- stances of parking enforce- ment officers being threat- ened by local residents. "People that we employ are going out and doing their job and that's the by- law and that's what they are to do. They hear com- plaints and they go out and ticket," he said, noting that residents threatening offi- cers will have to be dealt with by police. Town staff are current- ly working toward a solu- tion to boulevard parking concerns, which will be formally presented to council for consideration next month.
