Halton regional police are investigating an incident that took place around 10 p.m. on April 20. Halton emergency services personnel responded to reports that a man had fallen and struck his head near the intersection of Mill Street and Frederick Street in Ac- ton. When EMS arrived, they found the man unconscious and in medical distress. A 48-year-old man was transported by ambulance to hospital where he remains in critical condition. The circumstances surrounding the in- cident remain under investigation. Halton police have asked anyone with information regarding the incident to con- tact Det. Sgt. NEWS POLICE INVESTIGATING INCIDENT IN ACTON Construction season is just around the corner and Halton Hills residents can expect resurfacing and reconstruction projects. This year, the Town of Halton Hills will focus on upgrading roads in Georgetown. "The Town of Halton Hills is continuing its efforts to keep our roads in good repair," Mayor Rick Bonnette said in a prepared re- lease. "I recognized the disruption that comes with this type of construction but continual investment in our infrastructure is one way we manage our assets and extend their longevity." The following streets will have minor reconstruction and resurfacing completed this season: • Barber Drive - From Mountainview Road South to Argyll Road • Cedarvale Court - From Edward Street to end • Edward Street - From Guelph Street to Margaret Street • Lane Court - From Delrex Boulevard to end • Margaret Street - From Edward Street to Pauline Street • Pauline Street - From Delrex Boulevard to Margaret Street Some disruptions are to be expected by residents of - or near - road projects.
