Senior's Tax Grant? • To qualify for the Senior's Tax Grant, applicants must be 65 years of age, own and occupy property in the Town of Halton Hills for one year and be in receipt of the Guaranteed Income Supplement. The coast-to-coast celebration of Cana- da's game will bring Ron MacLean and co- host, Tara Slone, to cities and towns across the country - with their first stop in the town. "Hockey brings Canadians together from coast-to-coast," Ron Maclean, long- time sportscaster, said. "It allows us to imagine new possibilities and share the stories that unite the country." The tour will make 25 stops throughout the NHL season. "It's exciting and we are proud," Mayor Rick Bonnette said. "We are Canada's most patriotic town with a long hockey history that includes recognition as the home of the Little NHL." The free, family-friendly celebration features two days of live entertainment, NHL alumni, local celebrities, and hockey- themed activities for all ages. The festival culminates with an outdoor viewing party of an NHL game broadcast hosted live by Ron MacLean and Tara Slone on Sportsnet. Hometown Hockey will take place in Halton Hills on Oct. 5 and 6, with the view- ing party held on Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. and will air the New York Islanders versus the Win- nipeg Jets.
