SkipTheDishes took a look at what residents of Hal- ton Hills have been craving so far in 2019, and nearly 1,000 samosas have been ordered and delivered since the start of 2019. The list of most or- dered items in Halton Hills in 2019 so far, may surprise residents: Veggie Samosa - Spiced peas and potato in a pocket, often served with green chut- ney, tamarind chutney, or both, the vegetable samosa is the most ordered item, by a landslide, in Halton Hills. Nearly 1,000 orders have been placed. At about $0.85 per samosa, that's about $850 spent on samosas in 2019. Classic Quarter Chicken Dinner - White or dark meat? People ordered this dish more than 500 times. If you had a quarter for each quar- ter-chicken dinner ordered, you'd have earned $128 so far in 2019. Chicken on the Rocks - So far, residents have placed more than 400 orders for this delicious Mediterranean dish. Who can resist spit- roasted chicken shawarma piled on a bed of rice and topped with a dash of hot sauce, shawarma sauce, and sprinkled with sumac. The largest order so far this year from SkipTheDish- es, was a $200 order includ- ing tuna, salmon and red- snapper sushi alongside a bunch of other Japanese fa- vourites. During Game 5 of the NBA finals, orders for sushi spiked by about 60 per cent. So, arguably, someone in Halton Hills loves sushi, basketball and treating their friends. SkipTheDishes is an app, available for both iOS and Android, to order delivery or arrange pickup from dozens of restaurants in Halton Hills.
