Please be advised that the Public Meeting has been rescheduled fromMonday, October 21, 2019 to Monday, November 11, 2019. Details of the Public Meeting are outlined below: General Committee for the Town of Halton Hills will conduct a Public Meeting to examine and discuss proposed applications to amend the Town of Halton Hills Official Plan and Zoning By-law 2010-0050, as amended. The proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law amendment applications apply to the lands legally described as Lots 1 to 9 Registered Plan 341 (Georgetown), Part of West Half of Lot 19, Concession 9 (Esquesing), Town of Halton Hills, Regional Municipality of Halton. The subject lands are municipally known as 26, 28, 30, 34, 36, 38 & 42 Mill Street, 3 & 11 Dayfoot Drive (Georgetown). Refer to the map below showing the location of the subject property. The purpose and effect of the applications are to obtain permission to develop Buildings 2 and 3 of the comprehensive redevelopment of the former Memorial Arena lands and 7 abutting properties to allow for a 3-storey townhouse building (Building 2) and 5-storey condominium (Building 3). If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Town of Halton Hills on the proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments, you must make a written request to the Town of Halton Hills - Planning & Sustainability Department at 1 Halton Hills Drive, Halton Hills, Ontario L7G 5G2. NOTES: 1. If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Halton Hills to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Halton Hills before the proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments are adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. 2. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Halton Hills before the proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments are adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party. 3. Any written comment/objection submitted to the Town of Halton Hills regarding these applications which are being processed under the Planning Act, may be made public as part of the application process.
