Ivy-Lynn Halis, co-own- er of Teddy's Greek Grill, said her family has always owned a restaurant. When her grandparents were getting ready to retire from the restaurant they owned in Acton, co-owner Teddy Urbaniak built up his kitchen experience there. "He would work 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and come here be- cause he loved cooking," Halis said. Urbaniak, the head chef, cooks cuisine curated by Halis' grandparents, who help prepare traditional Greek items like spanakop- ita and moussaka for the Grill. "Grandma and Grandpa are the world to us," Halis said. "They make every- thing homemade." Halis said during a trip to Greece to visit her grand- father's village, the recipes used were the same as the ones Teddy's works from. "My grandparents would be upset if we made something that isn't from the recipes," Halis said. While Greek fare fea- tures heavily on the menu, the Greek Grill also offers all-day breakfast and bur- gers, among other tradi- tional diner items. Teddy's Greek Grill is lo- cated at 118 Guelph St. FOOD AND DRINK Ivy-Lynne Halis and Teddy Urbaniak, owners of Teddy's Greek Grill.
