Two Wonderful Cats For the Pet Page this week we have - Stella Prospect and Aries are very lovely cats, a bonded pair. They were brought to us after their owner passed away. Prospect is a short-haired male, five and a half years old. Aries is a long-haired female, five and three-quarters years old. Both are very affectionate and love to be petted and cuddled. They are very devoted to each other and so we are looking for a home that can take them together. Please come to Upper Credit Humane Society shelter to meet these two lovelies. We are open daily from 11 am to 5 pm. Someone thought a good way to get rid of a mom, her kittens and a young male cat , was to leave them in a Tim Hortons parking lot. The wise mom moved the family across the road away from traffic. She couldn't have made a better choice. When the home owners discovered the family, food was provided, the kittens were taken in to be house cats and NHKR was alerted to apprehend the adults. It was obvious the two adults were house cats and not accustom to being outdoors. Stella, the mom settled in quickly. She has been spayed and is ready for a new permanent home. Floyd is taking a bit longer to settle in. Stella is a sweetie, calm, affectionate, and good natured. She loves attention and welcomes interaction from strangers all ages. She is a lower energy cat befitting her estimated age of two years so she plays nicely on her own or with other cats. Stella is clean with her food area and litter box and it is easy to trim her nails and place her in a cat carrier. She makes use of her scratching posts and is respectful - not everything she encounters is a new toy. When people food is visible Stella perks up and would become a thief if not watched. She will comply when spoken to and move on but it is obvious she was fed people food. Stella would fit easily into most families, even with a dog and certainly with other friendly pets. Her agreeable personality would make her a good choice for first time pet owners or those with younger children. Stella and Ghost will be available for adoption this Sat. at Pet Valu 375 Mountainview Rd south from 2:00-4:00. The $160. cash adoption fee includes: vaccinations , parasite treatments, spaying, microchip and a bag of food. for more information visit www.NHKR.ca or call Barb 905-873-8547 UPPER CREDIT HUMANE SOCIETY BARB JOHNSON submitted photo submitted photo submitted photo Adopt A pEt Stella Aries Prospect Shelter 519.833.2287 | Thrift Shop 905.702.8661 www.uppercredit.com | info@uppercredit.com Charitable Registration #893738872RR0001 Book Sale Date: January 25, 2020 Time: 9:30 am - 5 pm Location: Georgetown Marketplace 280 Guelph Street, Georgetown Books and puzzles at great prices!
