Due to COVID-19 we are taking every precaution by implementing extra sanitizing measures and limiting contact. A committee has been formed to assist vulnerable residents during CO- VID-19. In partnership with Hal- ton Region, surrounding municipalities and local organizations, the Town of Halton Hills has estab- lished the Community Support Action Team to aid the community's most vulnerable. In an effort to assist Access Halton (311), the CSAT has developed a registry of resources avail- able to residents who can- not access essential goods through other support net- works; are self-isolating due to compromised im- mune status; are financial- ly insecure, or are experi- encing mental health chal- lenges due to isolation. "The CSAT is a terrific resource for our communi- ty and I'm pleased that we are able to help bridge the gap for residents to access services of other levels of government," Mayor Rick Bonnette said. "Connect- ing residents to agencies and organizations is funda- mental to taking care of those in our community." Residents in need are encouraged to contact Ser- vice Halton Hills at 905-873- 2600 or email servi- cehh@haltonhills.ca. "Our staff work with community supports on a daily basis," Brent Mar- shall, the town's chief ad- ministrative officer, said. "Staff has the ability to be flexible and adaptive and the establishment of the CSAT reflects current pri- orities." Residents can also visit the Town's COVID-19 Share the Care page on letstalk- haltonhills.ca.
