Due to COVID-19 we are taking every precaution by implementing extra sanitizing measures and limiting contact. Shoppers who want to refresh their self-isolation wardrobe with the latest can now return to brows- ing the racks. On Friday, Toronto Pre- mium Outlets reopened with reduced hours and new guidelines for shop- pers. The reduced hours al- low for time to be spent on sanitizing protocols before and after hours. While the mall reopened with 26 retailers on Friday, six more opened over the weekend, with more expec- ted to return before the end of the month. "We've been getting a lot of positive feedback from customers," Helena Moniz, mall manager at Toronto Premium Outlets, said. "People are patient and they've gotten used to the new normal." Despite anxiety about COVID-19, Moniz said, shop- pers were eager to visit. While the mall itself has rolled out specific physical distancing protocols, sig- nage and sanitization, indi- vidual retailers are also rolling out their own safety measures, from requiring masks and adhering to dis- tancing and queuing proto- cols to some checking tem- peratures at the door. For now, surface park- ing is open while the park- ing garage at the outlets is closed to minimize touch points for shoppers and staff. Play areas and the food court at the mall also re- main closed. Toronto Premium Out- lets (13850 Steeles Avenue) is open Mondays to Satur- days from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and noon to 6 p.m. on Sun- days.
