Mischa - A Beautiful Tuxedo Cat Maggie- Beautiful and Affectionate Mischa is a 13-year-old tuxedo cat looking for a quiet home. She was recently fostered in a home with other cats and dogs. She tolerated or avoided the dogs, and can be bossy with other cats, so we suggest she be your only pet. Mischa tolerates being picked up for a brief moment but prefers to be on the ground or on a convenient ledge so she can gaze out of the window. She is a cat that will only cuddle on her own terms, but can be very playful at times. This senior girl is looking for a home with someone who will spoil her with attention but is knowledgeable enough to give her space when she asks for it. You can visit Mischa at Creature Comfort in Georgetown, where she is enjoying their lovely facility. Mischa Maggie and her siblings were brought into NHKR as older, not well socialized stray kittens. It has taken patients and a lot of love for her to become an affectionate house cat. She is now a year old and a beautiful long tall lean young cat. Maggie would like to be an only cat. As with many smart female cats, she is bossy with other cats but is content to play nicely with her toys and entertain herself. She has been in the company of a friendly dog without any issues- dogs enjoy this type of personality. Maggie initiates "people play time". She carries her favourite plastic spring toy and asks for it to be thrown for her to chase and fetch. When she encounters people sitting, Maggie jumps up beside them and asks for tummy rubs. She will briefly sit in a lap but for now she prefers to sit beside and cuddle. When she's had enough attention, she leaves or she may give a nip if you don't notice she wants to snuggle quietly. Just watch her tail. Maggie enjoys being picked up for cuddles and she does not scratch to get down.Nap times are spent in the openwhere people are, so she doesn't miss anything! Maggie is clean with her food and litter box. She will jump on the counter looking for anything to eat (she was a stray kitten accustomed to eating whatever food she could find). Maggie is a clever girl and she can learn manners in her new home. She also knows her name and comes when called. She will be shy with strangers and would need time to settle into a new home. Maggie would like a quieter home with experienced cat people willing to work on any unacceptable bad habits and knowledgeable on trimming nails. Older children would enjoy playing with her and teaching her new games.
