In the downtown cores of Georgetown and Acton, the im- pact has been particularly visi- ble, with almost 80 per cent of stores initially forced shut by provincial orders in March. But as the economy slowly starts to reopen, there's cautious optimism among those on the downtown Halton Hills scene that the majority of stores in the heart of Georgetown and Acton will make it through these try- ing times. "This has honestly impacted us heavily. It's been a major blow for our downtown, but we're a re- silient community of business owners," said Downtown Georgetown BIA manager Yaw Ennin. "There's a lot of support and optimism. I think the down- town will survive this."
