The Town continues to be vigilant in efforts to keep the community safe from the COVID-19 virus. We adhere to the direction of Halton Region's Medical Officer of Health and have implemented numerous new health and safety protocols at all of our facilities. We understand the importance of communication and I encourage residents to visit our website often for the most current information. This past summer, I and various senior managers held 11 Virtual Town Halls to keep the community informed. This was a new experience for us and we have adopted this same technology to deliver our Council Meetings. Similar to businesses everywhere, the Town has had to adapt to a 'new normal'. As we move into fall and the pandemic will most certainly not be ending anytime soon, I ask everyone to be kind and respectful to one another and demonstrate the values that make Halton Hills a caring, connected community. We truly are all in this together. Mayor Rick Bonnette Public Screening Protocol A COVID-19 screening protocol is in effect and mandatory for all Town facilities. Screening is required prior to entry and attendance is logged for 30 days in the event that contact tracing is required by Halton Public Health. Verification is required upon entrance where visitors will show the green check mark to a facility ambassador. Save time and complete the screening in advance by visiting haltonhills.ca/ simpletrack. Posters are available on-site containing a QR code, making navigation to the screening website quick and easy. Facility Updates The health and safety of residents and staff is our priority as the Town takes a careful and phased approach to opening facilities and restarting programs and services.
