Open 7 Days a Week Where good health begins Congratulations to Heather Beaumont, who has accepted the position of recreation supervisor for Hillsview Active Living Centre, Georgetown. Heather has held the po- sition of volunteer co-ordi- nator and is a familiar face in both centres in Halton Hills since 2014. Her official start date was Dec. 21. Heather's role will be to oversee all program servic- es and facility operation at Hillsview Georgetown. We look forward to working with her. We have just come through the holiday sea- son, probably unlike any- thing we have experienced before. At the same time, we tried to hold onto some of our annual traditions at home. The holiday season was different at the centre as well. We were unable to hold our annual Christmas bazaar. In its place, we held a silent auction. Thank you to all who participated by donating, bidding, and pur- chasing. It all helped to- ward our funds. A hundred people pur- chased tickets to our suc- cessful drive-thru Christ- mas dinner. It wasn't quite the same as sitting down to- gether, but we know that will happen again. As you read this, you are reminded that your 2020 membership has run out. If you plan to attend or take part in any of the activities beginning in January, you must renew your member- ship. With the lockdown, many of our programs are now being held online.
