Please note: the Council Meeting will commence at 6 p.m. but there may be other preceding items which could impact the 6 p.m. start time for this Public Meeting. Please consult the Council agenda available online the Friday before the Monday meeting. Legal Notices Required Under the Planning Act: 1. If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of Town of Halton Hills Council to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Halton Hills before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted and the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. 2. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Halton Hills before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted and the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party. Any written comment/objection submitted to the Town of Halton Hills regarding these applications which are being processed under the Planning Act, may be made public as part of the application process. Georgetown residents can expect road construction this spring and summer at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Guelph Street. Starting in the spring and continuing into the summer, improvements along Ma- ple Avenue include: • New on-road and off-road active trans- portation facilities, bike lanes on road and a multi-use path off road, between Main Street and Mountainview Road. • Turn-lane modifications and recon- struction of the signalized intersection at Maple Avenue and Guelph Street. • Road resurfacing and maintenance from Guelph Street to Mountainview Road. • Lighting to accommodate new and ex- isting infrastructure. "Ongoing road work is part of the town's annual pavement management plan and capital works construction program are designed to renew and improve infrastruc- ture across Halton Hills," Mayor Rick Bon- nette said. "We do our best to minimize traffic impacts however." Traffic closures can be expected during construction. Residents can access detailed informa- tion, including maps of the proposed con- struction area and connect with town staff about the Maple Avenue project on the town's engagement platform, Let's Talk Halton Hills. Should projects be delayed due to weather or directions from the provincial or federal government in relation to CO- VID-19, residents will receive a hand-deliv- ered notice explaining details of the delay.
