On March 17, police re- ceived information regard- ing hate motivated phrases written on a play structure at the John Street Park. Of- ficers attended the scene and the incident remains under investigation. This incident is the lat- est in a growing string of similar incidents in Halton Hills. In December, police found racist graffiti at Sil- ver Creek Public School. Prior to that incident, graf- fiti including a swastika was found at George Ken- nedy Public School. In No- vember, police were noti- fied of a skipping rope tied into the shape of a noose at Ethel Gardiner Public School.
