KEESS, Werner Josef September 16, 1933 - March 28, 2021 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Father and Opa in his 88th year. Cherished Father to Gary Keess, Christene Cunningham (Glen), Michele Falkins. Adored Opa to Benjamin, Kelly (Adam), Mitchell, Kurtis and Sara. Loving Brother to Alma and Horst (Lizzy). Werner was born in Germany and made his way to Canada with a mere $18 in his pocket, where he worked hard to build a new life for himself. Werner was charis- matic and tenacious which allowed him to build a fulfilling career. He spent over 40 years with Shell Canada operating his own service centres across the GTA and made many life long friends. Werner lived most of his life in Georgetown where his Chelvin Drive neighbours will remember him for walking his dog around the neighbourhood and stopping to chat. He had a joy for entertaining with a glass of wine or scotch, a love for cooking and was quick to whip up a meal on the BBQ for anyone who dropped in. He loved to golf and spent many hours with his friends at the Erin Heights Golf Club. Werner will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, his generous welcoming heart and his kindness to anyone who needed a place to stay. A private family gathering has been arranged. Special thanks to Gloria, Monica and Calvin for their help and care over the years. In lieu of flowers please send memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or any animal shelter in your area.
