For more information on the Secondary Plan Review including the project launch presentation, live virtual Open House meetings and online surveys, visit the GlenWilliams Secondary Plan project page on letstalkhaltonhills.ca. The Virtual Open House will give residents the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback prior to the Statutory Public Meeting happening on the same day. The revised Secondary Plan applies to Glen Williams as shown on the map. The proposed amendments to the Secondary Plan include: - Revisions to the Goal and Objectives to address feedback received as part of the public consultation process; - Updates to policies related to cultural and natural heritage, growth management, transportation, hamlet design, parks and open space, natural heritage and sustainability. - Revised Schedules for land use, natural heritage and transportation; and, - Updated Hamlet Design and Heritage Guidelines. Legal Notices Required Under the Planning Act: 1. The Planning Act requires that a Statutory Public Meeting must be held on any proposed amendments to the Official Plan and that an Open House be held to ensure that the public has an opportunity to review and ask questions about the information being provided in advance of the Statutory Public Meeting. 2. If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Halton Hills to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of Halton Hills before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision; 3. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Town of Halton Hills before the proposed Official Plan Amendment is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party. 4. Any written comment/objection submitted to the Town of Halton Hills regarding the Proposed Official Plan Amendment may be made public as part of the process. The revised Secondary Plan (Official Plan Amendment) is available for public review and comment on the Town's website at haltonhills.ca/GWSP.
