Our annual celebrations continue to look a little different due to COVID-19 but there is plenty to do in celebration this year. Trees will be available for purchase on April 22 - sale goes live at 8:30 a.m. Trees are $5 each with a limit of 5 trees per household. All species are native to the area, view the full list online. Community Clean-up * Take part in a 22-Minute Makeover and Community Clean-up! Take 22 minutes on Earth Day to head outside and clean up. Businesses, schools, local clubs and residents are encouraged to register their efforts and clean-up location by emailing cleanup@haltonhills.ca. Free bags and gloves are available and we’ll even pick up the trash you’ve collected when you’re finished! Free Compost and Woodchips + On April 30 (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.) Halton Hills residents are welcome to pick up free compost and woodchips at the Robert C. Austin Operations Centre. Please bring your own shovel and container. Used Bike Swap ¢ Join the Halton Hills Bike it Committee on April 30 for their annual Bike Swap, giving residents the opportunity to recycle their used (in working condition) bikes in an environmentally friendly way. Event runs from 10 a.m. to noon at the Robert C. Austin Operations Centre. Donate your used bikes & trikes ahead of time or get a used bike for a great deal with all proceeds going to local food banks! Electric Vehicle Charging Station + How do electric chargers work? Stop by the Robert C. Austin Operations Centre parking lot on April 30 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to learn about the Town’s newest electric vehicle charging station.
