When | made oatcakes, they didn’t taste anything like my mother’s, though | followed my mother’s recipe to the letter. They tasted good enough, but they tasted of my essence, not my mother’s. There are no two cooks that can make the same dish; you’ll find that essence in one and not the other. Or the essence in each is just different. | don’t know, But you’ll know the essense of a good cook when you find it ina dish. You’ll just know. It was there in my mother’s cooking. My father knew it. He’d eat the oatcakes my mother made, but not the oatcakes | made. Police were called to the area of Queen. Street East and Tanners Drive in Acton on Saturday (April 23) at about 9:30 p.m. after reports that | the = occupants ofa vehicle were shooting paint at pedestrians. The ve- hicle had left thear area but returned a short time later and. again began targeting people on foot, police Two people were struck by paint balls, causing injuri¢ Police were > able to locate a vehicle and arrested two suspects. Two paintball guns, numerous paintballs and other paintball gun equipment were seized by police. 15-year-old male from Georgetown and a 16-year-old male from Halton Hills were charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous pur- pose. Both were released on undertaking. The charges have not been proven in court.
