Young artist painting A wonderful painting was creat- ed in a shared effort by the young children visiting the ReVision’s art show at the Cultural Centre Gallery. If you didn’t get a chance to admire it — drop into the Georgetown Branch Library, Children’s Services to enjoy. The painting will be exhibited for the next while. The newly formed group of local artists and art buffs, ReVision, plan to raffle the paint- ing at a future date. Ambulance barbecue For the last 35 years, members of the Halton Hills Ambulance Service have been providing care to those in the community who need- ed help. On September 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the service will be hosting an Open House and Barbecue at its Chapel Street, Georgetown base. Members of the community are invited to come and learn more about the service and the work of the Emergency Health Services Branch of the Ministry of Health. Along with the display will be a silent auction and all proceeds will be used to pur- chase CPR and paramedic training equipment.
