The Home now operates as a child care centre and provides a flexible day care program for over 100 children. The original home was built at Picton in.the late 1800’s and in 1923 a new building was opened at the present location, because the original ‘one had outgrown the facil- ities At that time, the Orange orders became involved as well and so the combined effort of these organiza- tions have been serving children and families for 70 years in the home on Yonge St. A summer Day Camp is also operated and is filled to capacity. A new building, officially opened last August, will house a Diagnostic and Research Centre. The Loyal True Blue Association will continue to care for children in every way possible. Visitors are always welcome at the L.T.B. & O. Home and the Administrator would be pleased to show anyone interested the excel- lent facilities.
