Alternate tower location now under consideratior By Dianne Cornish Representatives of Rogers Cantel Inc. have bowed to public pressure and agreed to look for a better site for a 340-foot communications tower. “The company’s pledge to work co-operatively with Halton Hills Town Council and residents on the western edge of Acton to find an acceptable, site was made by Cantel representative Charles Ross at a public meeting in Acton last K. week, About 70 residents crowded into the Acton firehall to voice their concern over the planned construc- tion of the tower near a rural cluster of homes, north of Highway 7 at its juncture with Dublin Line. Dr. Trenton, who lives in the Dublin Line area, was one.of eight rural Acton residents who spoke to.the audience.
