This will be a chance for all to see native heritage through dance, music, storytelling and native crafts.. There will be face-painting and much more for.all to enjoy. The pow wow committee has six members: Vi Haines, Chairperson; Dorothy Hunt, Secretary; Ed and Jean Cochrane, Indian Liaison and Publicity; Elsie Faulhafer, McDonald’s_ Store Activity Representative and Carol Harper, reasurer and Advertising. ‘They have been working together since January 8 to organize this pow wow. There have been native blanket dances at Georgetown Marketplace numerous times to help advertise this event. Raffle tickets are available for thtee prizes: an oil painting - “Buffalo Spirit, an Indian blanket and a print. Town of Halton Hills Mayor, Russ Miller, will draw all three prizes on May 26 at McDonald’s at 7:15 p.m. Also, for advance pow wow tick- ets please contact Carol Harper at 877-7056.
