The new information and Patient Escort Service. is operating in the hospital lobby between 10:30 a.m. 1:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Patients being discharged often need assistance with wheelchairs, opening heavy doors or getting into a car, and new parents need an extra pair of hands when departing with a new baby, car seat, flowers, balloons and gifts. The new service is being very well received by visitors, patients and staff. The volunteer also look forward to the new friendly atmos- phere. A second shift will probably be necessary. The Volunteer Association also rovides service in two gift shops, hair dressing, ward work, baby photos, rehab portering and phar- macy. We welcome new people to expand these services.
