In the 3rd inning, April Everingham slammed out a triple to tie the game. Stacey Bisson hit two RBI’s to put the Glen in the:lead in the 5th inning. There was no looking back for the Glen in the 7th inning when they rallied to bring seven players across home plate. The Glen squirt girls are sponsored by Paul Armstrong Insurance. This one’s for you, Paul! Pee Wee Boys 22 Acton 8 It was a long drive home to Acton when the Glen Pee Wee boys hammered the home team 22- Athletes of the Week boys track team. Glen Minor 8. Devon Legate had two triples, while Joey Goodhew and Bob Davidson slammed out a doable each. Mike Crawford made a great throw from field to tag a runner out at home plate. Chris ‘Hall and Jeff Telford shared the mound and each showed the fans some excellent Pitching skills. The whole team had a great night at bat, making home Plate look like rush hour. Squirt Girls 11 Milton 5 ing Jennifer Cabral was in top form catching a fly ball to first and grab- bing a nice throw from Katie Rowland to tag a Milton Player out. Katie also had a single to her credit. Also credited with singles were April Everingham with two, Stacy Poisson, and Katherine Perdue. Great catches for the game went to oftball Report Katherine Perdue and Stace " Atom Girls 19 Erin 19 grand slam! Atom Girls 23 Hornby 5 games with four hits and two walks to her credit. Megan Rowlands went for her usual jog around the bases when again she hit a home Tun. Lynette Wilson had her bat in high gear when she had three hits, Each player on the Glen crossed home plate at least once during this game. The coaches would like to Say great effort by everyone. ‘he Bantam boys are off to a great start this year winning their first three games. In game one, the Glen hammered Cheltenham 16-9. In game two, Gary McNiven got down to busi- ness hitting a great home run. Jim Norton and Ken Armstrong did a great job on the mound for the Glen. The Glen won 15-2 over Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Stigger and Randy Bond. Sharon was a pitcher on the Rebels soft- ball team and Randy ran the 400m hurdles for the Rebels senior Puslinch. July Ist is Canada Day in the Glen and once again the Glen exec- utive will hang up their gloves and don their chef’s hats to serve you their famous pancake breakfast. Cunningham paces Arnies Continued from page 22 M&M Bulldogs kept the game close against Arnies but without one of their key offensive and defensive stars, M&M lacked its usual grit on the defense and its fire Power on offense. M&M got on the score board first with a Shari Nairn field goal. Arnies attempted to even the score but a crooked legged kick saw them fall short. In the third quarter, Kelly Cunningham of Amnies out dipsied and doodled the defense to-post the go ahead major. Donna Brown scored the second major and with a McMillan convert the game was all but over. Donna Davey scored a late touchdown for M&M and Denny Ursel converted to make the score look close.
