As those who follow sports know, however, there’s more to a game (any game) than paper work and in this instance it was the slightly gimpy Richard Garden who lit-a fire under his M&M team- oe and literally, rallied them to a “The Dawgs opened up a boring 13-6 half-time lead, courtesy of touchdowns by John Egan and Dennis Hanley, with Frank Bruno kicking a convert, while Horace Thomas replied with a major for M&M. In reply, the Mez played both offence and defence, scored 10 points and proved his brilliant tacti- cal side when he was spotted clean- ing his glasses on the field while his team counted its last touch- down. Even the spectating gophers ated this last bit of flag foot- ball acumen and clapped their paws in appreciation. Randy Lunn had two touchdowns for Meznic, with Steve (Grizzly) Crossman rounding out the scoring. Mark McIntyre and Todd DeMone counted majors for Muscle Pit with A ibe s Eineaky, Counting a two-point co1 The league Heratre rola be well-advised not to underrate the Muscle Pit youngsters.
