Upwards of 260 youngsters from 12 Georgetown and area elemen- tary schools took part in the day- long affair, staffed, coordinated and tun by both Legion member volun- teers and volunteers from the gen- eral public. The refreshment tent provided cover for those who wanted to get out of the sun and all competing youngsters received tickets for two. free hot dogs as well as a soft drink. Carol Merten and Jim Blampied of the Halton Hills Unit of St. John Ambulance were on hand all day in case they were needed, and Dan Wagstaffe of Troopers D.J.
