Last Saturday the Georgetown Lawn Bowlers enjoyed a lovely day of bowling in a competition of mixed trebles. Teams participating were from Streetsville, Milton, James Garden, Etobicoke and Georgetown. Competition was for the John T. By Mike Zrostek Even though their team finished short in their playoff run this year, two of the Georgetown District High School Rebel softball play- ers, Leanne Mossop and Sherrie Peacock strutted their stuff at Monday’s Halton All-Star game in Oakville. Mossop and Peacock represent- ed the Richardson division at the game, which had 300 people in Peacock shines in All-Star game attendance, as the Volpe divsion won 9-5. Peacock had a strong game at the plate as she singled, tripled and drove in three of the five runs. As well, Peacock saw some action on the mound, pitching an inning even though she didn’t have all of her control.That was to be expect- ed, considering she hadn’t pitched in a while.
