On June 11, the vend- ing permit was granted, and all that’s left before the July 3 opening is‘a few finishing touches on the building and the search for a few more vendors. “T’'m surprised we received the license so soon,” said Natalie Ramakers, market manager. “I was told it would take six to eight weeks for the application to be Processed. I was in every day, see- ing if the permit was ready. I think they gave it to me just to get me out of their way.” Ramaker’s persistence has car- tied over from her involvement with the proposed farmers’ market on Highway 7, between Acton and Georgetown, which was not estab- lished because of bureaucratic com- plications. After the Highway 7 farmers’ market failed, Ramakers saw the Main St. location and decided to start a market theré. Unfortunately, the building was too expensive to purchase independent- ly, so Ramakers spoke to the owner, Tony Spinnilli, and the became partners. Before Spinnilli purchased the building, it was they do they can leave a lasting there's a way to help make even your biggest mess a memory.
