Richard Szymezyk became the newest commissioner on the board. The appointment of the retired Burlington educa- tor was sanctioned by Solicitor-General David Christopherson in an Order- in-Council issued on May 12. “I’m surprised this has hap- pened so quickly,” Barry Quinn, chair of the HRPSB Another — provincially- appointed board member, Paul Lafleur, a Burlington lawyer, will be performing the swearing-in ceremony immediately prior to the HRPSB meeting.
