The 1987 white Ford van was returned late the following evening, when the man was arrested by police in the driveway and charged with two counts of theft over $1,000, theft of a credit card and possession of stolen property. The jewel- ry, valued at $4,100 was not recovered and is believed to have been sold for drug money.
