Don’t forget that euchre at the communi- ty centre begins Thursday (tomorrow), at 7:30 p.m. Euchre nights will continue on every other Thursday right through until spring. The Jim Dandies were doing terrific this past week- end at the Hillsburg 3-Pitch Tournament. In the two games played on Saturday, the ladies beat their oppo- nents by more than 20 runs. Sandra Prouse and Sharon Marshall won Most Valuable Player Awards in these games for exceptional efforts. Sunday was another story, when the girls came against the Village Selects. The Ballinafad News ladies just couldn’t get their bats going, and were not at their usual sharpness defen- sively. The lead flopped back and forth throughout the game. In the 9th inning, the Village Selects got ahead by one run. It was a tun that the Jim Dandies just couldn’t match at their last bat as home team. It was a disappointing loss for coach Jim Bailey.
