Mare Bianco, of the Christian Heritage Party did Not speak at the meeting, saying he had not fully familiarized himself with the issues and beliefs of his party. (Bianco announced himself as the party’s candi- date at-the beginning of the week.) Reform Party candidate Dick MacDuffee promised to bring a “new breed of who will spend a buck like it’s their own.” Julian Reed, Liberal Party candidate insisted his party, unlike the Progressive Conservative party, would let everyone “stay on the wagon,” and not institute a “survival of the fittest” poli- cy. New Democratic Party candidate Norma Peterson agreed, adding the utmost Priority of her party is “jobs, jobs, jobs.” Brian Patriquin of the National Party maintained Canada’s problems were a direct result of too-much foreign dependence.
