Turkey supper was fabulous | By Betty Sojka The Annual United Church Turkey Supper held this past Saturday was noth- ing short of fabulous. It took an army of vol- unteers from ticket takers, Gas bar robbed Police are investigating possible links between Sunday’s robbery at the Cango Gas Bar at Steeles and Trafalgar in Halton Hills and a similar occurrence in Milton at the beginning of the month. Shortly after midnight, a man drove up to the gas bar and waited for the attendant to fill the gas tank. The man followed the attendant to the kiosk, where he pulled a gun and demanded money. According to a police report, a small amount of money was stolen, along with a car- ton of cigarettes. The man was last seen dri- ving westbound on Steeles Ave. The vehicle, stolen from Guelph, was recovered a short time later at Hwy. 25 north of Hwy. 401. Police are looking for a white male, between 30-40 years of age, approximately 5°7”, 150 Ib., with short dirty. blond-hair and a sparse mus- tache. Each vendor donates one item towards the draws which will begin around noon. Children can get their picture taken with Santa between 2 and 4 p.m. There are a few more tables avail- able for vendors.
