Brad Swackhammer placed Sth in the Queen’s Guinnea Class. Congratulations to all these winners! You did great! On Nov. 24, you weren’t seeing things when you saw a two-storey white house traveling along the 8th line in the morning. Bob Paul had built himself a new home and so was no longer in need of the 3-bedroom former home of Lena and Fred Sinclair. In steps Jim and Alice Sanderson. After a year’s planning and getting the proper approval, movers came in to the Paul’s prop- erty. It took them a couple of days, jacking up the house and placing the steel beams underneath. Closing down the road, it was only a short while of actual travel- ing time.for the half mile move to the Sanderson farm, on the corner of the 8th and Town Lines. Jim had built a foundation with basement ready for the house. It will probably be the spring before Jim and Alice are able to move into their new home. A number of items have to be complet- ed to the lot. You have to hand it to Jim and Alice. They have taken recycling one step further. On the pretense of attend- ing a Jim Dandies fund-rais- ing dance, Dan McNiven got a big shock when he arrived at the community centre last Saturday night. The party was for him. Seems Dan has just turned the big 50. Over 150 people were there to wish him well, some coming from as far away as Alberta. Dan’s brother and mother had some cute “Little Dan” sto- ries from his childhood. Helen Lakusta was very entertaining as MC. Gerry Burgan as the D.J. had a ter- tific supply music ete Happy!
