- The Royal Bank Building at the corner of Main and Mill Streets, Georgetown. This lot of land was originally owned by George Kennedy. The lot was purchased from Kennedy by John Dolson in 1844. In 1854, Dolson sold this part of the lot to Francis Barclay who erected a block of stores on the corner. This building became known as the Barclay Block. An engraving of the store may be found in the Halton County Atlas of 1877. In 1863 Mr. Barclay formed a partnership with William McLeod and James McLean, the store became known as the Mammouth House.
