This was the home and business of Ernest Young Barraclough, and his wife Ida.They were my Great Uncle and Great Aunt. He came from England. Ida Barraclough was the daughter of Jane Anne Grant and William Stirratt. William Stirratt was a school teacher. His farm was were the Nursery is now and the farm house is still standing. He went by horse and buggy to purchase the bricks for the house just north of Brampton.
Ernest and Ida Barraclough had no children.
He was a Mason. He died of a heart attack in Sept 1936, Ida lived on in the house until her death in July of 1967 at the age of 93.
