a glove factory, saw mill and a railway water tower were enjoyed by all. During the refreshments following, the Crewsons shared stories and photographs. Joe Henderson, formerly of Nassageweya, recalled the radial railway with picnics at Blue Springs. He remembered the introduction of rural mail delivery by horse by Charlie Lambert and Robert Wansbrough. Lloyd Burt shared stories of wedging the school bus under the CNR subway, due to frozen water on the road! It was overall an excellent meeting with about 60 people in attendance. The Society would like to thank everyone who came out to make the evening a success. WANTED- A filing clerk is needed to help put away files, photographs, etc. and to do general tasks connected to the archives of the Esquesing Historical Society. The archives are at the Georgetown Library. Once per month on any day of your choosing is fine. A call before-hand to Mark Rowe, the Society archivist is all that is needed. If you can spare about 2 hours per month, please call Mark at 877-9510. The Esquesing Historical Society now stands at a membership of 100 people. We certainly have many more people who come out to one or two meetings a year, but do not join. Encourage people you know to join the Society. Mention this newsletter and publication discounts which all members receive. If you do not keep your EHS newsletters, pass it on to an interested friend or relative. Be a vocal supporter of your Historical Society! 6
