ONTARIO AGRICULTURAL MUSEUM Lynn Campbell to speak to EHS Conceived in 1966, the Ontario Agricultural Museum was opened to the public in 1979. Today the Museum traces the development of agriculture and rural life in Ontario. It consists of over 30 buildings and displays on an 80 acre site. Along with the displays, the Ontario Agricultural Museum maintains a library and an archives. It is a multimedia resource centre established and maintained to collect and preserve materials relating to agriculture, horticulture and rural life in Ontario from the time of earliest settlement to the present. The Esquesing Historical Society is happy to welcome Lynn Campbell from the Ontario Agricultural Museum Archives on Wednesday November 9th at the Knox Church, Georgetown. She will outline the holdings of the Archives with reference to Esquesing township. She will also explain how these records can be accessed by us all. The Library telephone number is 878 - 8151. Ms Campbell was raised on a farm in West Flam borough township. She was educated at McMaster University in history and holds a certificate in Museum Studies and Archival Training. Ms. Campbell has been at the Ontario Agricultural Museum since 1981.
