- Description
- #157 Main Street south.
This building was erected in c1950. It stands on property originally owned by George Kennedy. Although a 1854 map of Georgetown shows the lot as #20, the lot division is not part of the plan Kennedy registered in 1857 suggesting that the land was already sold or used for the same purpose as the rest of Block C. Records indicated that the land was at one time sold to Sarah Barber. The land was later sold to James and J.R. Barber. William Bradley purchased the land from the town of Georgetown along with Berwick Hall and the remaining Barber estate on Main Street. - Notes
