eastern seouoti of hmtan county held an enjoyable and protabto catherine in aston last friday w united church the halton eresbyterial bastern sec tional rally of the womens missionary society was held in acton united church on friday june 17 with mrs h ingle- hart vicepresident of the presbyterial presiding assisted by mrs rev o altken president of the presbyterial with sixtynine present out of ten auxiliaries all responded to the roll can and each submitted splendid reports which showed that in spite of present conditions we realize that our womens m society are putting first things first six mission bands and three baby bands reported doing active work miss mckay of baulnafad gave splendid thoughts on baby band work stressing that this was the vital and allimportant time of the missionary work that the seed was in the cradle the mission j 1 minute was probably the most de- bandnnsrwasn dtoplayd on t for competition which is to begin in 1935 mrs caldwell temperance secretary o t pr r that she was encouraged with the response of this new branch of the womens missionary society work since last year and was hoping for even better work the follow ing year palermo and georgetown auxiliaries took charge of the devotional exercises for the morning session and representa tives from oakvllle and bethel took i charge in the afternoon the guest speaker for the afternoon mrs c r crowe president or the dominion board gave a most inspiring address on the value of prayer she said for us as a womens missionary society to use prayer which alone would be the tide to carry our mission ary work to success prayer broadens our ideas of others reference was made to several missionaries who have ac complished much through prayer miss little president of the guelph presbytery and
