interesting items about the school year pupils who maintained a good standing during tho year were recom mended on tholr years work for those with a low standing final teats wore held on thursday and friday their years work and their mnrks obtained on final tests were used to determine whotherjthey should pass bo recommended or repeat their grade to receive honors a pupil had to make an average of 75 per cent oi more during the year to pass an av erage of 60 per cent on all subjects a pupil recommended is weak in a subject and must show satisfactory progress in the next grade or return to his former grade when a pupil falls he is weak in one or more of tbft4mportant sub jects and we feel itisln the interest of the child to have him repeat his grade in order to gain a better grounding in his work this year the average school days lost per pupil was 19 89 days which is more than double that of last year and his factor naturally lowered some pupils standing promoted to grade ii honors
