keep all accounts cleared up no action wan taken regarding the declaration of boxing day as a public holiday as no request had been made chief harrop reported that the col lector of garbage was a big highlight of the fes tive season for the children and grpwnups at the united church on wednesday evening of last week there were christmas carols a wel coming recitation by marilyn rogn- valdson a presentation by the church school entitled the dream of the months orchestral numbers by mr beans class reading by miss erm wllderspln quartette number by tho c g i t girl of course the arrival of sai claus was the big event for the child ren and a christmas treat was given to all the sunday school pupils mr a t brown superintendent was chairman for the entertainment back from overseas in time for the christmas holiday after two and a half years overseas with the canadian forces sergt w flndlay arrived home on wednesday morning just in time for the christ- mas of 1943 bui is well bronzed
